AviationMeccon's experience constructing airport facilities is extensive with the projects we
have performed since 1982 exceeding a value of One Hundred Thirty Million Dollars ($130,000,000).The following is a list of facilities constructed. Aircraft Fuel Systems and Facilities: - New Jet A Fuel Farm facilities exceeding 800,000 barrels storage (total capacity 34,000,000 gallons) including concrete foundations, storage tanks, containment dike walls, fuel piping, fire suppression system, site utilities and electrical work.
- Jet A fuel transmission distribution piping system consisting of 30", 24", 20" and 16" underground piping. Total quantity of pipe installed is in excess of 100,000 lineal feet.
- Jet A fuel remote active storage facilities consisting of 900,000 gallon underground storage tanks including pumps, filter vessels, fuel piping and electrical power and control system.
- Jet A fuel hydrant systems for the following:
American Airlines - 70 gates United Airlines - 55 gates Delta Air Lines - 11 gates International Terminals - 30 gates
Airport Building Facilities: - Chilled water and high temperature hot water distribution systems.
- Terminal/Concourse HVAC systems.
- Air freight cargo HVAC systems.
Fuel System Flushing, Cleaning And CoordinationMeccon designs, provides and performs all fuel piping flushing including temporary flushing manifolds, temporary piping, flushing hoses, tankers trucks, millipore sampling, labor and supervision to deliver a fuel system which meets all quality control standards. Detailed, hourly flushing schedules are developed and reviewed with the appropriate representatives of the Airlines, Fuel System Operator, State Fire Marshall, Airport Fire Department, Airport Operations and other associated parties.
