Fabrication

Meccon’s Fabrication Shop’s primary use is for the specialty fabrication of piping sections, assemblies and equipment skids.

Meccon recently performed as the Piping Contractor for the Chicago Heights Steel, Bar Mill Upgrade Project. Project scope of work included the installation of hydraulic, lubrication and cooling system for new Morgan Bar Mill. Piping was fabricated in our Lansing, Illinois Fabrication Shop and pre-mounted in piping vaults and installed in modular sections to enhance a critical production schedule.

Piping work for the High Temperature Hot Water Piping work at the University of Illinois at Chicago was also recently performed in Meccon’s Fabrication Shop.
